Mandarin Historical Museum | Jacksonville, Florida

The new Mandarin Historical Museum is located in the heart of old Mandarin surrounded by significant historical structures. The building is designed in the style of a Florida "cracker" house, replicating vernacular homes built in the 1800's by early Florida settlers. In keeping with this style, the home is constructed off-grade with wood framing, pitched roofs and covered porches. The exterior is finished with lap siding, true divided lite windows and a tin 5-V crimp roof. The building's interior contains exhibition space, work space and a conference/classroom area.
